TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM

The swimming, as we know it, is an ideal sport for development of children. Although water is a fun and safe environment it is also a playground which presents a few risks which anyone should learn to master.

In the summer time, by nice weather, the lessons take place in Puidoux's outdoor swimming pool. In case of gloomy weather, the lessons will be provided in the "Hotel du Signal". In winter time the courses take place in Vevey or Puidoux. They are provided by an experimented instructor "Jeunesse et sports". Adults are welcome too.

Jean-Marc Maurer devotes his life teaching how to swim to children. He is a specialist, who knows how to pass on is passion. With him, no competition except for those who want it. He teaches, without ever forcing the kid, he shows how to put the head under the water, open the eyes under water, slide on the stomach, beat one's feet etc. He knows all the ingredients to give self-confidence, automate and coordinate the movements develop the stamina and acquire the sensation of speed.

The breaststroke is the last movement Jean-Marc teaches after the backstroke and the crawl and only when the pupil has enough experience and a complete knowledge of water. Why ? "Because contrary to what we believe, the breaststroke is a rather difficult movement". One more thing : Jean-Marc takes care of your children starting age of 2 to accustom them to the water and deprive them any fear. Interested ? Dial (021) 946 44 54. We'll give you all the informations you may need.
